ABOUT
My name is Dominique Brown and I was born and raised in Vidalia, GA until the age of 15. I moved to Virginia Beach, VA in 1999 where I went to high school at Princess Anne High School. I started off very unorthodox as a teenager, I was pregnant by the age of 15 and had my first child at 16 years old. I dropped out of High School to get a job to support my son. I later decided that I could no longer support my child off of minimum wage and decided to get my GED. I then began my entry into the medical field by becoming a medical assistant at 20 years old, graduated from Tidewater Tech in 2005 and worked in that field for five years before deciding to become a Registered Nurse. I entered into the Nursing Program in 2009 and completed an accelerated track to achieve my Associates of Applied Science in Nursing. I have been a RN for 8 years now and have always had an interest in the world of beauty, hair, and cosmetics. My mother had a heavy influence on me as a child as she went through cosmetology school. I've always believed that a woman's image does not solely rest on her hair but the way she feels about herself, plays a definite role in how she presents herself to the world. I became passionate about starting my own hair company because I wanted to provide hair that was not only high quality but affordable. Women empowerment is my goal. I started from a place in life that didn't seem promising from the outside looking in, but I'm proof that with hard work, dedication, and prayer you can achieve any goal!
